As I said in various instances, with all the difficulties that the present pandemic induced crisis has brought about, I think it has also created an excellent opportunity to look at your business and see how best to re-engineer it, solve issues that have been hindering your business for many years and transform your business to face the new normal in a better shape.
To this aim, Malta Enterprise will be very shortly launching the above mentioned scheme to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to realign their business activity, restructure their employees, product and / or service portfolio, optimise the use of technology and embrace green technology and practices. The scheme will assist in covering the costs of using the support of external business advisors, like myself, who would enable you to accelerate and implement the changes and development needed.
The aid shall be awarded in the form of a cash grant covering 50% of the costs incurred up to a maximum grant of €5,000 per advisory service per undertaking. Beneficiaries may only be supported through this measure once in any 18-month period. This incentive shall be available until the 31st December 2023. For more details on this scheme please click HERE.
To give any idea of timelines, as from tomorrow 10th November, service providers (business consultants) can start applying to be included as approved service providers for this scheme. Service providers will have a time-window on 1 month to apply. I expect that after this time-window the scheme will be able to start accepting application either in December 2020 or January 2021.
PLEASE KEEP WATCHING THIS SPACE FOR FURTHER UPDATES ON THIS SCHEME. Feel free to contact me on silvan.mifsud@emcs.com.mt should you have any questions to ask or if you would like to prepare yourself to apply for this scheme once opened.
